I myself, was at a crossroads in my life, regarding my career and my ‘life path’. My health was suffering. I had suddenly gone from someone in good health to suffering with an ovarian cyst which needed urgent treatment, low energy, stress, and recurring ear infections. All of this I believe was the result of my own energy centres (charkas) being imbalanced and blocked.

It was then that I was introduced to a wonderful lady – who soon became my teacher and guide- and after only a few sessions, I knew that this was the path for me. I then made a bold move of following the Reiki path, leaving my career and setting up my own practice.

My 20 year career had been in the social care sector, as both a practitioner and a manager of services for vulnerable adults, children and families. Throughout this period I feel I gained a greater understanding of human behaviour, dynamics and relationships (both external and internal) and how complex they can be. I have learnt first hand how we are all influenced by our background, our environment, our self-limiting beliefs, the fear of others, and the influence of those with whom we come into contact, some of which may prevent us from developing our true and happy self.

Energy is constantly flowing through us, but that flow can be affected when we hold on to negative thoughts and experiences, often at a sub-conscious level. Our energy centres need to be free and clear in order for us to be true to ourselves, to take responsibility for our own happiness and to be living the life you truly want to live.

I believe that we are fully responsible for our own lives, but that occasionally we may need some guidance and assistance to help ensure we are on the right path.
