Meditation with Henckel

Practitioners Involved: Henckel

Venues Used: The Birch Room

Date / Time: Fortnightly - Sundays at 6.30pm

Henckel was born in Trinidad where he spent his formative years. It was during this time that he had several profound spiritual experiences which eventually led him to travel to England leaving behind the prospect of a comfortable life working in the family business.

Once in England it wasn’t long before he joined the School of Economic Science where he has studied and educated others in the ancient Indian concept of Advaita and where he has been involved ever since.

He founded and looked after a school of development and meditation in Trinidad and Tobago from 1976-1993 and he himself has been studying meditation for the past 45 years.

Henckel now gives classes in meditation here at Clophill where he has built up a loyal following.

Henckel does not prescribe any particular method or technique but simply seeks to help each individual along the path they feel comfortable with. He has a wonderful ability to demystify and clarify and to dispense his considerable wisdom with a great sense of humour. One has the sense that here is a man who brings profound understanding borne of experience.

If you are at all interested in meditation then I can only suggest that you give it a try.
